Manager - Supply Chain/Production/Procurement/Sourcing - Breads Business (7-12 yrs)
The company used to be a PSU which was incorporated in 1965.
It has always been a breads business with 6 of their own factories and given the nature of the bread business (because its a perishable item) the goods are only distributed close to the factory. So they have a major presence in WB, Mumbai, AP + Telangana. TN, Kerela and Karanataka.
Their direct turnover is 250 crores with an additional revenue of 150 cr from their Franchise business.
Now they are looking to expand and are targeting to become a 1000 crore company by 2021.
Key responsibilities :
- Basis the demand plan, ensure production plans are made and given to all 2P/3Ps on daily, weekly, monthly basis to ensure seamless FG availability for sale
- Work closely with purchase team to ensure timely RM/PM availability at all 2P/3P units to adhere to production schedules
- To coordinate with logistics team to ensure smooth outward movement of the finished goods to C&FA's and from then on to distributors.
Ideal profile :
- Someone from FMCG, greatly desirable bakery category, who is currently in the production / scheduler / controller/supply chain role
Cultural Aspects : A self-starter, ability to work in ambiguity and chaos, entrepreneurial setup (personality archetype of someone who can work in a private equity funded company setup where there is tremendous self-drive, ambiguity and entrepreneurial style of functioning needed)
