OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB  - Effectively manage the Supply Chain operations tactical engagements for the South region. The operations efforts would include distribution management, warehousing and transportation management.  - Plan, control and coordinate the freight movement of finished goods to the warehouses and consumers/outlets - i.e. all dispatch and logistics interventions within the timelines to become growth enabler for South Region  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  1. Supply Chain Operations day to day activities  - Manage the overall supply chain operations engagements for the brands in the south region encompassing distribution, warehousing and transport management.   - In lines with the National Supply Chain operations strategy, implement systems and processes in the region that meet all financial and budgetary objectives and align with long term business strategy.  - Work closely with the Production Planning, Production and Regional Sales teams, understanding sales forecasts, stock availability and its impact on distribution planning on a weekly-monthly basis.   2. Distribution and Warehouse Management  - Effectively manage the distribution operations to ensure the smooth flow of the finished products from the plant to the regional distribution centres and ultimately to the retail/customer locations.  - Maintain 5S- standards at the warehouses. Strive to achieve level 5 always. Ensure optimum capacity utilization of warehouse through proper storage layouts of warehouse goods/material placement, inventory movement and maintenance of the warehouse. Conduct regular checks/audits on hygiene, safety, housekeeping and warehouse records.   - Maintain safe and healthy work environment by enforcing and following standards and procedures with 100% compliance to all SOPs and statutory requirements.  - Ensure complete stock accuracy preventing any stock inadequacy/excess. Conduct stock audits regularly and ensure reconciliation and inventory adjustments with ZERO inventory difference  - Drive implementation of FIFO, FMFO and 5S's in the warehouse, ensuring rotation of stocks according to the ageing level.  - Label Registrations: Ensure timely registration of labels in the region by coordinating with Plants/ State heads so that there are no delays in product supplies due to label registration issues.  3. Transportation management  - Work closely with the regional Manager in formulating and implementing processes that lead to transport efficiency, optimal service levels and achievement of production targets. Ensure 100% orders are executed within the timelines   - Ensure statutory laws, excise rules and regulations are complied with. Liaison with the state and central excise authorities for seamless operations.  - Ensure 100% use of compliant and high capacity vehicles for all re-distribution / primary/secondary sales movement in the region, with strict adherence to disciplined stock movement and delivery schedules  - Conclude win-win negotiations and on-boarding of freight carriers as per HSSC guidelines that drive down cost, lead-time and risk.  - Track and monitor transporters and 3PL service provider's performance against KPIs and service levels; Take corrective actions to improve overall warehouse /transportation performance.   - Liaison with the Finance team and transporters on detention, accidental and disputed cases, ensuring timely submission of Insurance Claims documents. Conduct Root Cause Analysis of these cases and take corrective and preventive action plan for all the incidents, accidents or customer complaints.  4. Order Management and Fulfilment  - Work closely with the Supply chain teams and ensure indents/permits are generated and executed on time, maintaining high levels of accuracy of the orders captured into JDE.  - Work closely with the Regional office on Excise Duty requirements and reconciliation of Excise Duty. Maintain and track excise records ensuring timely submission of MIS reports to Finance and excise teams   - Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction w.r.t. class of SKUs serviced from the warehousing locations as per the inventory policies rolled out. Prioritization and Coordination of product supply from manufacturing locations.  EXPERIENCE :   - 4-5 years- experience in all facets of supply chain operations in FMCG or beverage industry would be preferred.  - Should have strong Systems background and in-depth ERP knowledge to leverage IT in Logistics domain.   - A target oriented and self driven individual with a high sense of achievement to accomplish departmental and self goals.  - Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills  - Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
