Company Profile: Our client is a very large, professionally managed, highly profitable Global Indian manufacturing organization having manufacturing operations in India and a large number of countries globally. They are the largest manufacturers & World Leaders in their field. Our clients have a Global turnover exceeding Rs.3000 crores. Our clients are on a rapid transformation phase and hope to grow very rapidly in the next few years. Our clients seek to recruit a young, dynamic & experienced Supply Chain professional to be based in Poland and head the SCM function including procurement & inbound+outbound logistics. The position reports to the Head-Manufacturing. Our clients offer excellent salary/perks as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

About Polish operations of our client: The company will provide family visa status to the selected candidate. There are a number of Indians working at the location. Schools are 2-kms from the location. The turnover of the plant is Rs.400 crores and annual procurement values are Rs.200 crores. The plant caters mainly to Europe, Russia and to some extent USA.

Career Planning for the selected incumbent: Our clients are highly professional and the next move could be to India or a different country. The move could be in Supply-Chain Management or in Manufacturing

Job Profile: The position involves overseeing the entire SCM function.

KRAs:

- To devise procurement strategy, planning & budgeting material requirement, overall manufacturing plan, production planning and scheduling unit wise and ensuring timely delivery of orders to the customers.

- Cost Management, inventory assessment and control, process and system enhancement and conducting / participating in audits (internal / external).

Core Responsibilities:

- Responsible for profitable growth through efficient procurement, logistics, inventory control and transportation strategy

- Ensure timely negotiation, follow up, order placement and coordination with vendors for timely availability of materials

- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities

- Design and implement systems and procedures related to procurement.

- Represent the organization in negotiations with Govt. Bodies/ Contractors for purchases

- Ensure the continuous improvement of quality and reliability of procured raw material and equipment

- Responsible for production planning and scheduling for unit

- Review the plan vs. actual production analysis on daily/ weekly/ monthly basis Ensure that inventory of all stocks (spares, raw material, and equipment) is maintained at optimum levels.

- Track monthly dispatch costs and ensure timely preparation of dispatch plans

- Review vendor/ supplier performance using rating systems or predetermined standards and making decisions

- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation and Cost Estimation for new vendor approval

- Ensure implementation of Customs, Excise and Sales tax laws and ensure records are updated at all times

- Maintain MIS and submit reports as required by the Management

- Conduct & participate in Purchase/ Materials/ Inventory/ Dispatch Audits across all units Carry out performance appraisals, assess capability, and training needs of team.

Candidate Profile:

- Engineers ( B.E./ B.Tech) preferably with MBA or Diploma in Material Management with 6-12 years of experience. Experience in purchase / contract management will be an added advantage.

- Must have managerial & team-management experience of 3-5 years.

- Must be a business partner and have strong knowledge & experience of Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Processes and the market-environment.

- Must be preferably from FMCG, automotive, paints, packaging, building materials and other similar verticals.
