Our client is a very large, professionally managed, highly profitable Global auto-ancillary manufacturing organization having manufacturing plants and sales+service operations in a large number of countries. We are looking for SCM professionals who have excellent fluency in Mandarin language and have preferably had for some years experience working in China.
Job Profile-Manager-Supply Chain :
Responsible for all SCM initiatives.
- Oversees the procurement activities in China, review purchases initiate by various buyers.
- Identify low cost suppliers and achieve cost reduction goals through negotiation and alternate sourcing.
- Maintenance of Purchase Policy.
- Review inventory to ensure sufficiency for China Production by running simulation and inventory report to initiate purchase, expedite orders.
- Responsible for sourcing materials at the optimal price, quality, delivery and service.
- Identification of cost-efficient suppliers and achieve cost reduction goals through negotiation and strategic sourcing.
- Responsible for compiling data - price, vendors, payment terms etc.
- Negotiate and manage Vendor Agreement.
- Periodic evaluation of suppliers and sub-contractors performance and maintain procurement KPI.
- Work closely with Supplier Quality Engineer and Engineering Department for phase-in phase-out of new developed parts.
- Issuance of latest drawing updates to suppliers and ensure new drawings are being implemented.
- Review Purchase order against the confirm order before release of PO
- Ensure MRP run on daily basis .
- Ensure commitment of parts delivery dates to production & customer service for trading parts .
- Monitor vendor performance rating .
- Maintain good relation with suppliers for smooth supply of material.
Requirements :
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering / Material Management / Purchasing.
- Around 10 years of relevant experience in procurement and sourcing of automotive mechanical related materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with MRP / ERP systems preferred.
- Efficiency to communicate in Chinese and English.
