The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and being part of a growing payroll operational team who will be supporting an ever growing landscape of business.   - This role will work closely with the onshore team based in the UK.  - This is a hands-on role. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to effectively deputise for the Operations Head whilst also managing the day to day activities of Team Leads allocated within the team.   Mentioned below are the management tasks to be executed by Payroll Manager :  Leadership   1. Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation ensuring completion of processing within SLA’s  2. Manage a team size 30 – 40   3. Drive the productivity of the team while providing excellent customer service and problem resolution  4. Monitor work in progress and future workload demands, ensuring resource requirements are made known to Management within timescales  5. Manage and produce Management Information for projects.  6. Provide policy or procedural changes to associates.  7. Establish highly efficient processes within the centre to improve throughput and reduction of non-value add tasks.  8. Mentor the team leaders  9. Ensure that Training and re-training requirements of the team is met, monitor for process gaps and take corrective action along with support from the Payroll Supervisors  10. Liaise with external bodies and internal stakeholders  Key Activities   The Payroll Manager will have full accountability for Teams processing payroll activities & also accountable for the following duties listed below :  1. Monitor overall team performance  2. Provide necessary approvals  3. Review process dashboards  4. Participate in monthly service reviews  In addition to the above mentioned, Payroll Manager will also be responsible for motivating his Direct reportees, i.e. Team Leads to complete the following tasks on time & deliver quality :   1. Data Entry & Payroll Processing – Payroll processing for all the following pay cycles: weekly, fortnightly, lunar and monthly. The following is a comprehensive list of all the forms of data and some activities associated with this data entry that the Payroll Teams will be processing as part of their role. They will not necessarily be processing all the different types of data:  - New starters	  - Pay adjustments  - Leaver processes	  - Production of Reports  - Employee Transfer /Re-joiner forms	  - Adherence to Delegated Authority Matrix  - Sickness absences	  - Completion of payroll checklists  - Employee personal data change forms  - Third party processes  - Overtime processing  - Electronic filing of spreadsheets  - Additional temporary & fixed payments 	  2. Payroll Payment, Controls & Reconciliations – generation of Payroll Approver reports and engagement with the business on payroll’s rejected or non-approved. Creation and delivery of all third party remittances.   3. Filing & Document Housekeeping – filing and archiving of all appropriate documents within the allotted filing system; both hard copy and electronic filing.  4. Ticket Processing & Query Resolution – allocating non auto assigned tickets. Responding back to tickets to both the business and on-shore team colleagues, thus resolving queries in a timely and accurate fashion. There will be a requirement to raise a Remedy ticket to allocate on shore tasks to the UK Payroll Owner.  5. Following Payroll Standard Operating Procedures – the Team Lead will be give end-to-end training in all the documented and controlled payroll operation procedures. It is important that these are followed on a day to day basis. A continual drive to achieving one-way-of-working is a central theme of how we operate.  6. Post Payroll Activities – Complete post payroll activities such as Tax & NI File creation & reconciliation, prepare annual timetable.  7. Quality Checking – There will be an element of 2nd line checking of payroll inputs to ensure accuracy is maintained.  Mandatory – candidates must have the following skills/experience   - 6 yrs plus prior experience with atleast 2 yrs in payroll  - Graduate (Minimum 15 years education)  - Willingness to work irregular patterns of hours as and when the delivery of payroll demands to ensure payroll deadlines are always met  - Ability to manage day to day operations of the team ensuring completion of processing within SLA’s  - Ability to motivate Associates towards improved performance levels and achievement of key business metrics  - Passion for payroll.  - Should be flexible with ability to work in tight deadlines. Should be a team player  - Concern for Quality and Standards.
