Manager/Sr Manager - Management & Capital Accounting (10-15 yrs)
Duties to include:
- Production of the monthly management accounts and related analysis.
- Review, analyse and report on material differences to budget.
- Regular liaison with budget holders and project managers to facilitate effective budgeting, forecasting, and communication of financial performance.
- Production of the monthly Capital reporting pack.
- Development of the long term capital strategy and plan.
- Monitor capital projects and provide regular analysis and reports on performance and other KPIS.
- Prepare Capital project cash flows.
- Management of the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring upkeep of data and accounting for depreciation.
- Controlling all capital income and expenditure and ensuring that income and expenditure is correctly receipted, allocated, and reconciled.
- Management of the annual close and reporting process to within set timetable.
- Ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the Finance Director.
- Development of internal controls and procedures.
- Management and development of 2 members of staff.
Candidate requirements:
- An experienced Capital Accountant.
- In possession of a recognized accountancy qualification.
- High level of Excel and general finance systems ability.
- Excellent communicator.
- Confident and self assured.
- Proven ability to add value and act as business partner to operational teams.
