Manager/Sr Manager - Analytics - Lending Underwriting

Job Profile:

- The Lending Underwriting team is responsible for leveraging external (credit bureau) data efficiently in Initial Line Assignment/ Line Increase across International Markets.

- The team works very closely with market chief credit officers, decision science and technology teams to implement, monitor and manage the initial line/ line increase logics across markets.

The Incumbent will be primarily responsible for leading a 2-3 member team to drive the following:

- Optimizing the use of external data in Underwriting strategies

- Regularly monitor Amex & external performance and identify opportunities to grow profitably

- Partner with Central Lending team to drive pricing strategy in GNICS markets

- Partner with US Lending Capabilities team to drive globalization and standardization across GNICS markets

- Leverage machine learning & big data techniques to enhance existing framework

- Work very closely with multiple business partners across the globe.

- Provide strong thought leadership while working with multiple business partners. This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.

- Post graduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field from a reputed institute; candidates with prior experience in machine learning / big data techniques are preferred

- 4-6 years of relevant/related work experience with consistent track record of strong performance.

- Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, SQL

- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

- Ability to drive results with strong thought leadership

- Excellent communication and relationship building skills

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively manage and integrate with cross-functional business partners worldwide.
