Social Media Marketing Manager- eCommerce - IIM/ISB/XLRI/NMIMS/JBIMS/SP Jain (2007-2010 Batch only)

- The Social Media Marketing Manager will lead a small team that builds and delivers engaging content on our brand pages across social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others) and direct customer communication (direct mail, email).

- The ideal candidate will have owned content generation and community building for large brands in India.

- You will work effectively across multiple internal teams and external agencies to identify and prioritize social media marketing opportunities. You will be an early adopter of emerging social networks (Whatsapp, Snapchat, Tinder etc.) and will tirelessly propose, experiment and implement ideas that further marketing objectives.

- You have an eye for good copy/videos that resonates with your audience, and should be comfortable writing, editing and curating creative that range from tweets to blog posts to photo/video blogs. Prior experience in the media and entertainment industry will be preferred with experience in working with top stars/talent.

The role's responsibilities include :

- Develop long-term social media strategy, achievable and scalable plans for social channels, and ensure alignment with business goals.

- Build content and communicate with internal/external stakeholders in support of tools, services, best practices for social media marketing, and capture resulting metrics.

- Constantly experiment with emerging social networks and scale activities that are effective at driving marketing objectives.

- Manage agency partner, editorial calendar and content development including copy, graphics, and video production working with the content and design teams.

- Drive the implementation of new scalable, innovative campaigns and maximize impact working with the wider teams.

- Demonstrate ability to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas) and at the tactical level (managing campaign execution, creating and optimizing campaigns, analyzing data and solving problems).

- Track, report and analyze effectiveness of campaigns and investment against objectives and key performance indicators.

- Report to the broader organization on the voice of the customer, and be an advocate for social media to the broader organization.

- Maintain a deep understanding of social networks and emerging social media trends.

- Coordinate with other cross- social marketing professionals to leverage relationships, establish best practices and collaborate on a unified vision.

- Communicate regularly with senior leadership, internal stakeholders and traffic team colleagues to understand objectives and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in Marketing and /or Public Relations, including 3+ years of Social Media Marketing experience

- Proven track record in building, developing vibrant and engaged communities for a large B2C brand in India,creating innovative, large/scalable marketing programmes and/or partnerships for community building.

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective users (Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.), and how each channel can be deployed in different scenarios

- Ability to use data and metrics to drive editorial decisions and marketing activities

- Strong copy-writing abilities and sound editorial judgment

- Strong leadership, project management and organizational skills

- Strong drive for execution and delivering results. An ambitious self-starter with excellent follow-through skills to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial. Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done and thinking big at the same time

- Superior communication of plans and ideas, in written and verbal format, and relationship building with internal stakeholders and external agencies

- Team player with the confidence to take the lead and influence other departments and senior management

- Relentless customer focus and obsession

- Master's degree in marketing or business. Bachelor's degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
