Manager/Senior manager- Content Sourcing #ecommerce giant #premier business school  Position : Manager/Senior Manager - Content Sourcing and MI  Location : Bangalore  Role summary :  The incumbent is responsible for :   - Brand Relationships, Large/Key Seller engagement and Vendor Management aimed at driving superior Content on mApp and website.  - Market Intelligence(MI) including Strategy, Selection and Pricing   This role has strategic dimensions in providing insights about market trends, opportunities, threats and competitive positioning through MI activities, in addition to effective Content Sourcing, Brand and Large/Key Seller engagement resulting in category leadership for Flipkart across the retail market.   Job description :  - Evaluate potential suppliers, track and analyze vendor performance, ensure vendors meet or exceed contractual obligations and develop strong Brand Relationships  - Enhance MI capability to provide cutting edge research and insightful reports for effective decision making  - Continuously seek solutions driving Content quality on Flipkart mApp and website  - Work with technology team to improve MI & Content Sourcing process   Responsibility Details :   Financial :   - Responsible for budget control, vendor performance analysis and contract management. Need to build and strengthen MI capabilities and drive up vendor performance metrics while optimizing costs.  Non - Financial :  - Role Span : Effectively coordinate with Vendors/ Partners, Category, Website & Tech, Customer Service, Operations, Flipkart Leadership and Strategy teams  Key competencies :   - Understanding of customer, seller & category need   - Obsession with customer satisfaction and quality  - Sound understanding of retail / business 2 Consumer service industry  - Ability to influence stake holders for right business decisions  - Anticipates Long-term challenges and solution  - Links product / process and business impact clearly and effectively  - Excellent negotiation, collaboration and superior communication skills  Desired skills & experience :  - Educational background - B. Tech & MBA (preferred) from premier business school  - Worked with retail, FMCG, service, ITES in Vendor Management/Category Management/Business Intelligence domain  - 6+ years of work experience, with proven Project Management/Consulting skills  - Lean Six Sigma black belt certification from ASQ/ ISI/ Motorola/ GE/ CII/ Wipro/ LG  - Worked on technology platform to deliver the business results  - Strong familiarity with the online retail space is mandatory
