The role is for a Workstream Lead within the Modelling Centre of Excellence Team in Bangalore - the workstream will be for Model Migration, managing Model Release and Modelling Quality. The main objective is to ensure that all tasks required for a given workstream are identified and planned, the workstream is managed to ensure a quality delivery against plan and there is clear ongoing communication as to the status of the workstream.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities(in brief statements describe the main accountabilities of the job and specify responsibilities)

- Responsible forthe end to end activities in migration/ model release

- Regular communication with the Head of MCoE and with Global MoSes users

- Understanding the user requirements and preparing /reviewing specifications

- To ensure that the set up of model data and assumptions is efficient

- To ensure development of the model complies with specified coding standards and is flexible and scalable

- To devise and execute a robust Testing Strategy

- Responsible for ensuring that all modelling processes are followed in line with the standard practices and with proper controls and documentation in place

Job requirements (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills)

- Highly skilled Actuarial Model Developer with at least 3 years of experience in life insurance model development. MoSes experience is preferred, but other Actuarial Modelling Software experience would also be considered.

- Part Qualified Actuary

- Proficiency in working with Spreadsheet and Database packages

- Proficiency in Programming in VBA, C++ etc.

- Excellent analytical skills - able to quickly absorb details on business structure, product features and model requirements, and then produce/lead production of clear specifications

- Ability to work independently, accurately and deliver to deadlines

- Shows initiative in identifying issues and supporting other team members

- Good communicator, both written and verbal, who is able to work with a team spread over several locations and from several different business functions

- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks accordingly

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Strong desire to learn new skills
