Manager - Resource Mobilisation Operations and Analysis,

Save the Children India (SCI), New Delhi

1. POSITION VACANT: Manager - Resource Mobilisation (Operations and Analysis) (MRMOA- SCI)

2. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND: Save the Children (SC) works for children everywhere, with member organizations in 30 countries, collectively implementing programmes in over 100 of them, and an annual combined income of more than $1.4bn. A large element contributing to SC India's success as an independent organization in India, has been its successful fundraising programme. Over the past five years, SC India has developed a large and diverse portfolio that enables the organization to deliver ever-increasing impact for children.

A robust back-end team ensures efficiency and effectiveness of its fundraising initiatives to deliver a strong and satisfactory donor experience. SC India is looking for a Manager – Resource Mobilization (Operations and Analysis) to lead this team within the Resource Mobilization function.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position will report directly to Director - Resource Mobilisation and shall manage six full time staff and over 20 staff indirectly.

The MRMOA will lead and perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment

The key responsibilities of the role can be broadly segmented into Database Management and Reporting, Financial Management related to Resource Mobilisation, Backend Operations of Resource Mobilization and Procurement.

The post holder will be responsible for all processes relating to donor data processing including data robustness, security and reporting, extraction and presentation of data for management reports and analysis of donor behaviour to maximise donor development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) As the primary functional interface with Finance, facilitating reconciliation of data, budgetary preparation, reporting and payments;

(2) Designing research plans for data gathering and analysis related to Resource Mobilization;

(3) Identifying relevant donor trends, undertaking follow-up analysis, preparing visualizations;

(4) Assisting in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, tracking, internally managing, and reporting data related to resource mobilization functions;

(5) Undertaking detailed data collection and analysis on a range of internal and external donor data in order to inform senior management in strategic decision-making;

(6) Supporting efficient functional procurement requirements including vendor management.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Educational Qualifications:

The applicant should be a BE or a Post Graduate in Marketing/Operations/Finance, or equivalent from a reputed institute.

Experience:

Minimum seven years of relevant experience in a competitive market environment with focus on information management, relational database design and development, business intelligence, data mining and/ or statistics.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

(1) SQL, SPSS, MS Office and CRM;

(2) Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze multiple large, complex data sets concurrently, is mandatory;

(3) Excellent data interpretation sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data;

(4) Experience of managing a team.

(1) Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills;

(2) Process orientation and analytical skills.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

The gross remuneration budgeted for this position ranges from Rs. 15 to 17 lacs per annum. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.
