Key Result Areas:

- Complete exposure to procurement to pay cycle.

- Manage Purchase Parts Change Control for Post-Launch Programs.

- Exposure to spend analysis/Raw material management/price tracking.

- EOL management/ Supplier change management/Resourcing.

- Support VAVE and TQCM activities

- Support Plant's operations with resolution of issues related to suppliers - Operations support for shortages, spares management, supplier relationship/management and resolve open issues with suppliers.

- BOM cost tracking, material costing/ budgeting and savings analysis

- Exposure to contract pricing, surcharges, Supplier Charge backs and Forex movement/tracking

- Managing Supplier details and statutory audits for current model programs.

- Tool development/Asset tracking management.

Qualification:

B.E.Mechanical/Electronics/Mechatronics with 5 to 8 years of experience

Required Competencies:

- Preferably from automotive/automobile/electronics industry (exposure to electronics components purchase)

- Good exposure on global procurement and project management

- Data analysis and MS Excel/presentation skills

- Knowledge on commercials - pay terms, statutory duties, taxes and freight

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Manage Purchase parts change control for post-launch programs

a. Support change control meetings for implementation of engineering changes

b. Support Delta eFin process for engineering changes and studies

c. Negotiate purchase parts pricing and tooling for engineering changes

d. Responsible for supplier timing - Tooling, PSW, and parts delivery

e. Create vBuyer Award Packages for Design Changes subsequent to hand off from program buyer

f. Responsible for issuing Purchase Orders and Tool Orders for engineering changes via India VGSS

2. Support VAVE and TQCM activities

a. Support VAVE workshop events for generation of cost savings ideas

b. Support TQCM team meetings for follow up on implementation of cost savings ideas

c. Responsible for managing purchase parts change control required to implement cost savings ideas

3. Support plant's operations with resolution of issues related to suppliers

a. Lead commercial resolution of stop-ship situations

b. Lead resolution of payment issues with suppliers

c. Support Plant MP&L teams to resolve delivery issues with suppliers

d. Support Plant Quality teams to resolve quality issues with suppliers

e. Support capacity study outputs from India and communicate to program team and implement additional actions if needed

4. Support commodity buyers with communication with plant's teams on the following initiatives:

a. Outsourcing

b. Insourcing

c. Resourcing

d. Program refreshers

e. Market tests/make/buy studies

f. Plant inventory reductions (POU or elimination)

g. Service part negotiations where supplier is not in long term strategy coordination with service program manager

h. Cancellation cost recovery. Operations to lead with support from commodity. Dependent on program phase can be program or operations buyer

i. Follow up on prototypes or samples.

Key Points:

- Exposure to metal/plastic/ecomp sourcing and supply market - both tooling and components

- Engineering change control process

- Material budgeting and savings, spend analysis

- Supply relationship management and supply resolution experience
