Manager - Plant HR - FMCG (10-15 yrs)

We are looking for Hr Manager-Plant With the Following Skills Sets:

Purpose of the Job:

- Supervise HR processes of the plant WITH THE OBJECTIVE of recruiting, retaining & developing the employees of the plant

Authority and Resources:

- Authorised to control all staff and finances deployed within the Plant. Seek approval for financing activities within Company rules and maximise returns on investment.

Performance Measures and Outcomes Expected:

- Quality of recruitment

- Timeliness of HR process

- Rate of attrition

- Avoidance of disputes between management & labour

Key Responsibility Areas:

Recruitment, Selection & Operation:

- Plan human resource requirements in consultation with heads of different functional & operational areas

- Prepare job descriptions with measurable performance indicators for all the roles

- Conduct selection interviews and induction programs

- Oversees the preparation, submission, and reporting of all payrolls for Company

- Ensures compliance as it relates to Company policies and practices. Establishes open lines of communication and effectively manages corporate level areas of responsibility.

- Analyse wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan. Compiles analysis information and makes salary recommendations to management.

- Develops and coordinates or conducts training to instruct organization managers, supervisors and workers in legal issues and/or human relations skills such as supervisory skills, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal communication skills, sexual harassment laws and guidelines, and effective group interaction skills.

- Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs to track of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations. Prepares staffing reports and organization chart and other reports as necessary or when management requires.

- Assists Company in the research, development, and implementation of Global HR policies, including but not limited to, HR information systems and processes. Provide guidance/coaching of HR knowledge and experience to other global Kagome partners/employees.

- Prepares budget of HR operations.

- Assists executive management with administrative projects as required

Industrial Relations:

- Handle Labour Relation and their grievances

- Handle strikes, agitations, negotiations & settlements with Union on various matters

- Monitor contract labour

- Initiate disciplinary actions & follow due legal procedure whenever necessary.

- Protect management & labour interests by maintaining mutual relations

- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or lo-cal governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.

- Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding human resources policies and practices.

- Keeps involved and coaches management in all labour relations issues to maintain non-union status.

Statutory Compliance:

- Handle All statutory Compliances

- Liaison with Govt and Non Govt Organizations

- Deal with external agencies.

- Ensure timely compliances without any default

Minimum Educational and / or Training Qualifications and Certificates

PG/MBA - Specialized in HR & IR

Preferred Experience and Knowledge (number of years, type of experience)

- 10+ years experience with min. 5 years in plant (only male candidates)

- Working experience in a factory is preferable

- Knowledge in Industrial disputes and all Union related activities will be an advantage

- Knowledge of statutory requirements & regulations and experience in liaison with government bodies.
