Manager - Operations/Network Planning - Infrastructure Projects

Network Planning Manager

Overall Role Purpose:

- Provide the overall direction and strategy for the Infrastructure projects for the country being delivered by the Infrastructure team.

- Identify, evaluate and implement improvements in the processes and handling/distribution operations throughout the country in line with Network and Regional Standards. Forecast & Manage CAPEX for Operations.

Business Division: Operations

Key activities:

- Country Operations and Regional Engineering

- Act as a strong communication link between Country and Regional Engineering staff

- Provide engineering services towards Expansion, Relocation, Reengineering, Refurbishment & Material Handling Equipment modernization for operations facilities (including non operations facilities) in the country in line with Regional & Country plans.

Country Operations

- Provide Industrial Engineering expertise, techniques and methodologies/structure to direct the country in improving service, processes, productivity and profitability

- Develop short & long term plans in the areas of facilities, equipment, network for the country

- Assisting in conducting Training programs for local country staff

Regional Engineering

- Provide suggestions to Regional Engineering on self developed areas of improvement & country priorities and challenges.

Operations Improvement Deployment

- Identify and implement improvements in the areas of business activities, sequence of operations/work flows, staffing, handling methods and equipment

- Ensure cost effective selection and location of local facilities (City Master Plans) and equipment

Prepare facility plans and equipment layouts to maximize efficiency and space usage

People - Management

- Lead a team of Industrial Engineers & Project Managers to achieve country infrastructure plans.

- Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.

Skills:

- Communication skills (English), spoken and written

- Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Software skills (Visio, AutoCAD)

Expected years of experience:

1. 10 years of experience in Project Management in Infrastructure development.

2. Civil/Industrial Engineering background is must

3. Candidates from Project Management companies preferred

4. Experience in areas of material handling equipment, productivity improvement, work measurement, work methods and standards, financial analysis

5. Experience in the express package, transportation or material handling industries would be beneficial

Education:

- Degree in Industrial/Production/ Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
