Manager - Operational Excellence - Big4

One of the Big 4 consulting firms is seeking Managers to join their operations consulting team.

- The individual needs to have work experience in the operations domain - specifically manufacturing. The individual's role includes spearheading small internal client facing teams on manufacturing client engagements and guide them to solution / delivery by executing the tasks that are part of overall assignment; lead modules of the engagement in small parts; interact with and present ideas / new perspectives to senior client personnel.

- Play a role in business development activities of the firm by identifying potential clients, prepare proposals and commercial bids.

- Contribute in preparation of points of view / intellectual property for the Management Consulting practice across domains and industrial sectors.

- The individual should have relevant work experience in a manufacturing related environment [viz; either worked on a manufacturing excellence project / been a part of internal business excellence consulting teams / worked in line / staff function in a manufacturing organization.

- Knowledge of management methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, Total Productive Maintenance [TPM], TOC, TQM, Asset optimization [hands on implementation with at least one or two methodologies will be an added advantage]

- Individual should be well versed with data analysis using excel. A working knowledge of quantitative analysis tools such as Minitab/SPSS/SAS is preferred.

- Certification such as Black Belt / Master Black Belt is preferred

- The ability to analyze financial statements, and provide a point of view / insights.

- Problem solving skills & leadership skills to meet client needs using a blend of intuition and analysis, ability to multi-task and have a balance between strategic and operational focus.

- Good communication skills, business writing and presentation skills both oral and written that help to promote clarity and also present persuasive options.

- The individual should be able to interact with the clients across levels and work in teams.

- Willing to travel and work out of remote client locations

Specifically looking for people who have worked in the Metals space-having implemented operational excellence /process improvement initiatives.

Experience in Malcolm Baldrige will be highly preferred.
