Manager - Legal - LLB - BFSI (8-13 yrs)

Advisory :

- Reviewing requests from Regulatory teams on various legal and regulatory issues referred by them from time to time, ascertaining and examining the applicable regulatory/statutory framework, and providing timely legal advice / opinions as applicable.

- Collating and organizing details to ensure providing timely advise on various regulatory queries having legal implications.

- Ascertaining/seeking regulatory requirements of NSE, prospectively determining / addressing possible gaps in the existing processes for various regulatory functions, and advising them on appropriate steps to be taken for proper and timely adherence with the said requirements.

- Proactively intimating respective regulatory teams about prospective legal issues, and directing pre-emptive action to avert/mitigate potential legal issues.

Litigation :

- Assisting Corporate Legal Department in identifying legal issues in court matters initiated by/against NSE emanating from regulatory orders, ascertaining its impact on NSE, and reviewing any changes / modifications to the applicable legal framework.

- Assisting in reviewing the factual background of the matter through inquiries from relevant regulatory teams, and organizing the relevant data.

- Assisting in developing parallel mitigation measures, preparing legal briefs on matters for internal references, and exploring suitable alternative courses of action, including settlement of matters.

- Preparing legal notices to be sent on behalf of regulatory teams of NSE with the respective regulatory team lead, and drafting and finalizing such notices based on internal discussions.

- Discussing legal notices received against NSE with the with the respective regulatory team lead, assisting in drafting and finalizing appropriate and timely responses based on internal discussions,and initiating parallel efforts to avert further escalation/recurrence.

Formulating Process Flow :

- Guiding team members in examining and collating frequently surfacing legal issues related to regulatory functions of NSE,collating and organizing the applicable statutory framework and existing compliance requirements imposed on NSE and ascertaining gaps in compliance / department related processes exposing NSE to adverse claims and financial/regulatory risks/losses in view of findings

- Reviewing proposing revised process flows prepared by team member to internally streamline the identified process, reduce work hours on resolving internal queries on compliance, and enhance responsiveness of NSE to external triggers and queries

- Reviewing form a database of past actions taken to increase response time to compliance triggers

Operational Efficiency :

- Ascertain the exact requirement of a matter from a legal perspective, document the same and discuss internally with the legal team members.

- Manage and perform legal research and regulatory analysis, and interact with internal teams.

- Require candidates of good Law school and work experience from Law firm
