Manager - Legal - LLB (5-15 yrs)

Providing supervision and support to auditors on client projects

Supervision and support on review and analysis of fee and expense entries in legal invoice submitted by law firms for Identification of violations/non-violations of client's rules and adherence to defined client positions

Analysis of time taken by legal and Para-legal staff while performing various tasks/activities on a given matter

Identification of issues with amount billed by the staff

Analysis of description/narration provided on entries made by the staff during various phases of trial like case assessment/development & administration, pre-trial pleadings & motions, discovery, trial preparation and trial, appeal etc. pertaining to litigation and regulatory matter

Creation of reports as per client's specifications

Administration of invoice databases/repositories using invoice management software or client-provided tools

Provide active quality review support to the team and drive a sense of responsibility for always achieving the desired quality work product.

Guarantee timely execution & delivery by driving a sense of urgency within the team.

Drive process improvement using process excellence methodology. Be the champion for improvement. Identify areas for improvement, scope projects and involve relevant others. Create enthusiasm for the process.

Guide the team members in their HR and Admin related issues and handle them appropriately.

Build and maintain effective relationships across various levels in different departments

Identify and nurture future talent and take steps to build capability

Possess proficient interviewing skills

Participate in various leadership training for overall professional development.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations and information security standards.

Document monthly performance review of Legal Associate/s.

Execute quarterly and annual appraisals of Legal Associates and consequent development processes effectively. Mentor Legal Associates and Senior Legal Associates.

Drive reward and recognition activity on the floor. Promote participation, create enthusiasm, boost morale and encourage team bonding.

Experience & Qualification Details:

A law graduate (LL.B.) from a reputed university (minimum)

5 years work experience in Legal Bill Review, preferably in a reputed LPO/Law firm, working for US clients on their Litigation Support and Document Review related work.

Team management experience.

Excellent understanding of law and legal concepts

Strong legal analytical skills

Excellent writing skills

Exposure to legal bill review and/or litigation and legal documentation

Expertise in drafting, summarization, synopsis creation, proof reading of legal documents
