Position: India L & D Manager

Location: Mumbai

Position Summary :

- The positions objective is to participate in and contribute to organizational effectiveness and change efforts across India. In this role, the individual will work closely with HR Business Partners to help the businesses which they support.

- This individual needs strong consulting and problem solving skills to provide effective leadership and organizational development strategies to support growing the talent and businesses across India.

- The individual will drive learning and development initiatives including needs analysis, learning solution design, training delivery and projects implementation for employees, according to the annual learning & development plan based on needs analysis and seeking and responding to feedback from the business.

Organizational Relationships :

- Senior Individual contributor position.

- Directly report to HR Director, India

- Work closely with all Business Management personnel for purpose of customized training needs

- Work closely with AP HR to support Learning & Development initiatives and implementation

- Work with Services team for getting the training content developed

- Industry training experts

Scope Of Responsibility :

- Develop, direct and support strategic learning & development initiatives throughout India.

- Support, consult and collaborate on training efforts throughout India.

- Responsible for the planning and maintenance of annual training budget.

Essential Functions :

- Responsible for design and implementation of India Learning & development strategy.

- Build a learning culture within the organization by implementation of learning and development policy and tools within India.

- Identify the training & development needs. Develops, maintains and updates training plans and policies

- Develops training modules and prepares training materials including manuals, handbooks, material etc.

- Design, Adapt, review and deliver tailored learning & development programs and other tools (e.g. e-learning, discussion forums, mentoring, peer coaching, Stretched assignments etc.) to implement the learning & development plan in a cost effective manner across all functions in India, adhering to predetermined guidelines.

- Co-ordinates training programs from conception to delivery and evaluating success;

- Manage projects from end to end, including upgrading the available programs, delivery relative to training sessions, leveraging resources to deliver training and training evaluation.

- In partnership with Human Resources teams, identify, analyze and provide workable solutions for development needs, with a focus on strategic leaders, growth leaders and performance leaders across all business functions.

- Build and oversee development of full-scale training curriculum, including multiple training methodologies (classroom, experiential, e-learning, etc.)

- Work with and coach line trainers from within the business to effectively deliver appropriate business-related / technical training content to relevant audiences.

- Ensure that the Compass Learning Management System is maximized and manage the administration of Compass LMS.

- Partner with Human Resources Business Partner's & Business Leaders to diagnose organizational health needs & provide solutions. (i.e. tailored workshops)

- Support the company's Talent strategy to embed a consistent and effective Talent review and Succession Planning process by providing insights and innovative and effective solutions as well as providing coaching & guidance to businesses teams in their implementation of the tool and their monitoring of its effective use.

- Develop, implement and monitor High potential /successor development program within the organization

Additional Responsibilities :

- Work with external service providers in identifying appropriate training solutions for internal delivery.

- Support in the APAC L&D initiatives on need basis.

Immediate Goals :

To address the immediate organizational goals/needs to :

- Implement the training fundamentals within India.

- Improve the competence of L1 & L2's within the organization with help of Business leaders.

- Ensure that the Accelerated development plans are put in place for Successors and HiPo's.

- Improve the competence of different level of leaders in the areas of management techniques like coaching, communication and leading team to achieve organizational objectives.

- Exploring and introducing new technologies and tools that can support employee learning.

Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities :

- MBA in HR / Personnel Management, 12+ years of experience demonstrating technical competency in the field of human resources with 6+ years- experience of trainer or training & development at Managerial level or above. Experience working closely with business leaders to implement critical initiatives

- Diploma in Training & Development is desirable.

- At least 1 behavioral tool certification is a must (For example - DiSC, MBTI, Harrison, etc)

- Experience of designing and facilitating soft skills workshops is a must.

- Working knowledge and experience of Learning Management System.

- Coaching certification is desirable

- Performance consulting knowledge/skill is desirable.

- Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
