In this role the person is expected to develop, maintain processes to meet business needs across the business with primary support in Chennai plant. The person is expected to manage all devices related Annual maintenance contracts and look for opportunities to negotiate cost and grow as per the business needs. Person would be part of Infrastructure team and is expected to build and comply with ITIL processes in a very distributed computing environment.  - In-depth understanding of all Infrastructure related components from LAN/WAN, Telecom, Desktops & Servers (Intel and Unix)  - Plan, Manage, Assist initiatives as requested by supported businesses  - Provide leadership guidance and work with the partner support teams to deliver excellent day-to-day global operations  - Work as a business partner with group managers and users to evaluate/improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions for business processes.  - Leverage existing solutions to drive standardization & simplification to reduce implementation timelines & costs. Communicate standards, policies, & compliance requirements  - Manage desktop and communication related activities and IT service performance management.  - Provide day to day project and technical leadership in assigned technology areas, including enterprise Data Center networks and internet working technologies  - Work as an escalation contact for incident and problem resolution, as well as participating in off hour's on-call schedule  - Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging storage technologies; make technology, process, and application recommendations that can be used to increase performance and add value to the business  - Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards, & practices  - Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required  - Prepare, present, and review overall Information Technology plans, status reports and cost / benefit studies  Qualifications Required:  - BE Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent  - Minimum seven years IT experience in infrastructure related projects/support  - Strong project management leading skills from initiation to implementing in an enterprise.  - A history of supporting web, database and/or high performance computing software stacks.-   - Track record of implementing innovative solutions to address business challenges.-   - Ability to work in a team environment with different end user needs.  - Process Adherence to ITIL and other standard process for project management and deliverables  - Experience with IP communications would be a plus  - Experience with Wintel Servers and whole patching cycles  - Experience with vendor management
