Manager - Information System Applications - IT

Job Purpose:

The Manager - IS Applications is required to deliver and support the usage of various IT systems and applications in in accordance with the Heinz India business requirements, through a team of IT professionals. The role is responsible for ensuring that these systems function reliably within Heinz India's overall systems architecture.

Job Responsibilities :

Responsible for managing Heinz India's IT function :

- Understand the Heinz India IT business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to CIO, post checking feasibility.

- Responsible for execution and implementation of the projects on time, within budgets And in line with - Heinz Global Project Management methodology

- Conduct investigations, feasibility studies and surveys of proposed and existing information systems and and applications and submit recommendation to senior management.

- Interface with other functions and cross-functional teams to crystallize requirements and liaise with various IT professionals / vendors to implement the same

- Assist Business functions in re-engineering the business processes in line with the IS applications and vice-versa.

- Communicate with various business users to identify and resolve their problems and queries related to the IT systems

- Ensure compliance to various Heinz policies and procedures (local and global)

- Continuous improvement of existing IT operational processes

- Monitor and measure the support and performance of various vendors and professionals in line with SLAs agreed upon

- Responsible for adherence to the IT governance structure for long term contracts

- Coordinate and conduct training programs on IT systems for various users as required

- Supervise a team of outsourced professionals. Prioritise and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

- Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members and check the quality of their work to ensure that systems meet agreed specifications and are consistent with the overall design and architecture of the organisation's information systems.

- Responsible for rollout of global projects in India

Supporting responsibilities :

- Support CIO in finalizing IT strategy for Heinz India

- Support CIO in identifying and finalizing contracts with vendors that suit Heinz India business requirements

- Participate and represent Heinz India in various Heinz Global IT forums / projects
