About our Client: Our client is a leading player within the consulting space, with a massive global presence. With a strong foothold of over a century in India, they are looking to add a Manager - Indirect Tax, based out of their Pune office.

Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Manager - Indirect Tax, your key responsibilities will include:

Advising on appropriate business model structuring involving:

- Identifying tax planning opportunities.

- Building up of tax compliance environment.

- Indirect tax due diligence reviews and health checks of operations of multinational companies.

- On-call advisory to corporate clients in relation to indirect taxes queries.

- Analysis of implications of various amendments under Indian indirect tax legislations vis-a-vis business operations of corporate clients.

Representing Corporate Clients before various Indirect Tax offices and other Government Authorities in relation to:

- Sales Tax/ VAT assessments, registrations and amendments proceedings before various State Sales Tax/ VAT authorities.

- Service Tax Audit, VAT Audit and SVB matters under the Indian Customs laws.

- Responding to Legal notices & Tax Appeals and securing statutory permissions & approvals.

- Facilitating smooth indirect tax compliances (regular & assessment related) on an on-going basis.

The Successful Candidate:

- You are a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6 - 8 years of post qualification experience in Indirect Taxation within a consulting setup.

- The incumbent needs to have hands-on experience as well as strong team handling and people management skills.
