Position Title: Manager - Human Resources

Company: SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd.

Location: Operation HUB, Thane & Corporate Office, Andheri E

Qualifications:

- MBA or an equivalent degree (Full time, 2 year course) in HR from a Premium Institute

- MA-PM&IR, PGDBA with HR, MMS (HR) as a specialisation would be considered at par with MBA-HR

We are open to look at candidates with post qualification HR experience ranging between 4 to 10 years.

- The candidate should be able to work independently.

- Should be open to work from both Thane and Andheri East office.

Reporting To: Chief Manager - Human Resources

For select HR projects may have to report to AVP- HR (CoE)

Purpose of Position :

- This is a combination of Business HR and Corporate HR/Specialist HR role.

- The incumbent will be the HR business partner for Operations department (including Contact Centre) pan India.

- He/she will be based out of the Operations HUB in Thane location for managing the HR functions for Operations.

- At the same time, the incumbent will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing 2-3 HR processes or projects in a year for the entire organization.

- The role holder is supposed to alternate between Thane and Andheri East corporate office.

Responsibilities:

HR Business Partner for Operations (55% weightage)

Manpower planning:

Participating in the Manpower planning exercise through the following action items:

- Analyzing the manpower planning figures and rationalizing the manpower projected counts

- Reconciling the approved manpower figures with manpower requirement as per the change in business volume and dynamic business scenario

- Ensuring optimal usage of manpower

Recruitment & On-Boarding:

- Making an end-to-end recruitment plan based on the projected numbers.

- Meeting the recruitment volume oriented targets by choosing appropriate sourcing channels and optimum selection logistics

- Facilitating all India branch set up by providing requisite man power.

- Being part of the interview panel at final round of interview and designing interview tools & psychometric tests for conducting interviews at various levels

- Conducting CTC negotiations, deciding on fitments in discussion with the hiring department

- Ensuring quality of hire is never compromised without compromising on speed

- Instilling values of confidentiality (of applicants), trust and transparency in the process as well as the team around.

- Liaising with the HR Operations team and being in charge of each recruitment case till the Offer is rolled out; ensuring smooth on-boarding for the new recruits.

- Doing Campus recruitment.

Performance Management:

- Building a culture of High Performance in the department by adherence to the PMS process

- Driving the Confirmation appraisal process and ensuring that employees get confirmed on time following the standard appraisal process.

- Ensuring Goalsetting for the entire department is done on time; auditing the goal sheets and checking the Goals in terms their quality and alignment

- Driving the half-yearly and annual appraisal exercise; initializing and closing the exercise before the deadline, checking the appraisal reports and validating the ratings; taking care of Performance Improvement Plans for underperformers

Employee Engagement & Culture Building:

- Driving the employee survey for the department and ensuring 100% participation

- Identifying the areas of strength and development; making and implementing the action plan based on survey findings.

- Working on initiatives like Employee Value Proposition, Gender Diversity within the department

- Designing and implementing department specific Reward & Recognition scheme.

Talent Management, Succession Planning:

- Identifying the critical talent pool for the department as per the set criteria

- Making talent profile and development plan for the select pool.

- Implementing the annual promotion exercise for the department against the set guidelines

- Implementing the Succession Planning framework for the department.

- Implementing Mentorship scheme.

Employee Champion:

- Being the sole point of contact for HR related queries for the department

Driving HR processes related to entire employee life cycle:

- Promotions

- Confirmations

- Transfer

- Relieving

- Maintaining employee connect and good employee relations, resolving employee grievances

- Representing HR in various departmental meeting and forums and add value by implementing suitable HR interventions.

- Provide ground level feedback to Head Office

HR Projects (45%):

Drive/support other OD projects as per the priorities and the Balanced scorecard on year to year basis. Some of the key projects for the Core HR Team for the current financial year are as follows:

- Reward & Recognition scheme for the entire organization

- Career planning & Succession planning

- Effectively managing employee sourcing

- Campus hiring

- Identification of key talents and prioritising their career development

- Organizational Diagnostics

- Best Employer Awards

- Employee Value Proposition
