Position Summary:
The Associate / Senior Associate is a consultant who will work as part of a broader team setting. He/she will conduct various activities required to deliver client and / or business development work. Typical work activities will involve analyzing data, researching, building proposals, writing document (PPT and/or word) etc. In addition, the consultant will be expected to contribute towards firm development activities such as developing Point of View, recruiting support, etc.
He/she will be part of the Global Consulting Practice, a specialized team focused on bringing clients's cross-line-of-business strategic and operational capabilities to the client. Typically, this would involve working on topics combining client's depth in talent strategy development, endowments and foundations investment strategies, strategic work-force planning, large scale transformations etc. while supporting the firm's work across M&A transactions, post-merger integrations, Multinational Clients etc.
The range of duties/activities are varied and whilst key responsibilities are expressed here they include the flexible execution of additional consulting, analytical and operational tasks as reasonably expected from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with client executives, usually on site, manage / support the engagement through all stages, including planning, execution, and closure
- Be in charge of the day-to-day execution of the engagement process and take ownership of the whole engagement deliverable
- Ensure proper and standardized reporting of project status, e.g. red-flags, road-blocks, timeline or budget changes
- Lead a team of consultants and business analysts where necessary; overseeing their work to support the delivery of the engagement
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Science, Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics (Graduate MBA from a reputed institution).
- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience for Associate/ 7-10 for Sr Associate
Exp. and Skills
- Previous experience in organization design, organization transformation, HR strategy, work-force optimization / organizational de-layering, governance design, HR shared services design, capability development strategy, M&A work in HR / work-force topics
- Proven ability to manage projects and / or large project modules including successful deployment and delivery of personal expertise and that of other project team members to ensure excellent, on-time delivery to client specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong ability to build successful business relationships with clients and colleagues that enhance operations and profitable revenues
- Analytical capabilities - able to create and work with excel models
- Solid organizational and IT skills, particularly MS Office suite
