Job Profile:

Government Reforms and Infrastructure Management (Government Consulting) is a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) under the Advisory Services line of service in PwCPL. The focus areas for this practice in terms of needs for both public and private sector clients include:

- PPP - facilitating development using PPP mode

- Redefining roles - focus on social sectors - strengthen policy making & monitoring capability

- Use of technology - reduce cost and improve distribution and delivery of government services

- Institution strengthening - new statutory/disclosure requirements - need for fiscal discipline, enhancing delivery capacity of the institutions

- Governance - people participation & transparency

- Services provided by this SBUs to various clients are:

- Policy Formulation

- Institutional Strengthening

- Project Development

- Project Studies & Structuring

- Improvement of Operational Efficiency

The proposed position is for a Manager in the above practice with focus on for the Urban Transport sector. The candidate must have experience in Public Transport (Metro, Bus, etc), on aspects of policy, planning, operations, pricing and financing. Prior Consulting or Industry background would be preferable.

Experience:

5-8 years of relevant experience in Urban transportation sector preferably as a consultant.

Qualification:

Suitable candidates will with qualifications of BE, M.Tech, BE+MBA (from tier 1 or 2 institutes), CAs or Economics Post Grads

Essential Skills:

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Strong expertise in commercial structuring and financial modelling of projects

- PPP advisory for government and private sector

- Urban transport operations planning and management including use of technology based solutions

- Transaction advisory including bid-process management

- The candidate should have good writing and verbal communication ability

- Candidate should be willing to travel. An ability to manage tasks independently with senior officials in government is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of real estate sector or urban planning will be advantageous
