Description : Opportunity to lead the Government Affairs for a leading Medical Device MNC

Client Details :

- Our client is one of the world's leading Medical Device MNC present in over 100 countries over the world. India is a key market for the Organization and are looking to hire a candidate to lead the Government Affairs function.

Description :

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for :

- Understand, describe (map) and prioritize relevant Government Affairs stakeholders (payers, governmental bodies, private healthcare groups, industry associations, professional associations, Private Health Insurance, Provincial Government, hospitals, think tanks etc.)

- Develop personal network and build trusted and strategic relationships with relevant decision-makers e.g. in government, politics, industry associations and other institutions

- Influence stakeholders to consider issues relevant to the organization when making framework decisions and ensure that the company's overall strategy, its products and/or relevant areas of therapy are reflected appropriately in these decisions

- Research, develop, plan, design, maintain and implement policies, programs and events that enhance the organization's relations with the government and relevant industry associations

- Work closely with the multiple Business Units (sales and marketing) and functions (e.g. Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Scientific Affairs) within country

Profile :

The ideal candidate must come with

- 13 to 18 years experience in pharma and/or medical device industry, health policy or related functions in political institutions, industry associations, payers, consultancies or disease management organizations (policy, market access or Government Advocacy)

- Established network among stakeholders and political decision-makers

- Working knowledge of market access mechanisms, Health Economics (HEOR, HTA) or Pricing

- Engaging personality able to develop sustainable relationships with relevant stakeholders

- Team player with demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and to work effectively in a matrix organization
