Manager Fund Accounting  Location: Dublin - Ireland   General Summary:  - The core function of this position is to manage the team to perform Fund Accounting & Transfer Agency, daily valuation, and determination of NAV and daily pricing of both segregated and pooled portfolios.  Reporting Structure:  - Report to the Country Head.  - Managing a Team 4 - 6 people  Duties and Responsibilities:  Oversee Portfolio Administration:  - Checking and confirmation of all equity trades  - Loading and verification of expenses  - Capturing income dividends, etc  Valuation, Determination of NAV and Pricing  - The NAV of each fund is calculated accurately at each valuation day.  - Portfolios are valued completely and accurately.  - Ensure that these figures are reported to the media and clients on timely basis.  - Ensure that correct number of shares in issue at each valuation point in the calculation of the NAV.  Custody and Settlement:  - Ensure that the transactions are properly authorised, processed accurately and executed in a timely manner.  - Ensure that trades are recorded and settled in an efficient manner.  Corporate events:  - Ensure that the various types of corporate actions are captured on the system correctly.  - Ensure that dividend income accruals are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.  - Ensure that voluntary corporate actions are performed in accordance with the wishes of the investment advisor.  - Ensure that withholding tax and WHT tax claims receivable in respect of dividend accrued are consistent and claimed  - Ensure that cash is available per portfolio for trade settlement and pay-outs.  Performance fee calculation and Reporting:  - Ensure the accuracy in the performance calculation as per GIPS standards  - Ensure accuracy in the performance reporting to clients &/ public &/ rating agencies  Will be responsible for the following:  - Continuous Business Process Improvement function  - Work flow automation  - Procedure manual review and updating and regulation  - Industry Updates  Ensure that recons are done timorously and accurately:  - Bank recons  - Script recons  - Systems recons (Tax8, Invest One, Xamin, and Decalog).  Responsible for management of relationship with  - LISP  - Custodians  - Unit Trust Custodians and Trustees  - Banks  - Institutional Clients  - Retirement and pension funds  Service Delivery Management:  - Client relationship and complaint management  - Client satisfaction and timely reporting  Ensure that reporting is done accurately and timorously and this include both external and internal reporting to:  - Regulators  - Tax authorities  Segregated Portfolios Client Reporting:  - Unitized Portfolio Clients Reporting  - Preparing audit certificates on request  - Regulation 28 reports  Create, implement and maintain reports and documentation and according to the legislation:  - Quality and timely reporting to the clients  - Document Management  - Updates of new regulation released and inclusion in the procedural manual and business process, exception records of the portfolios compliance with the mandates  - Create, implement and maintain reports and documentation and according to the legislation  Managing Transfer Agency Side:  - Generating annual tax certificate for all unit holders.  - Coordinating with regulators and tax authorities.  - Managing network of brokers, ensure all commission are payed are on time.  - Compilation of reports and statistics including flows, revenue and IFA fees.  - Licensing with custodian & portfolio administrators of fund  Qualifications and Experience:  - Chartered Accountant / MBA / Engineering.  - 8-10 years’ experience managing Asset administration department of a recognised Financial Management company/ Mutual Fund (Preferred).  - Candidate with previous experience in Fund Accounting and Mutual Funds will have a distinct advantage.  - Extensive experience of SunGard (Invest One) will be preferred.
