Manager - Financial Research - BFSI (5-7 yrs)

We have urgent requirement for Manager- Financial Research

Role and Responsibilities

- Work with internal senior stakeholders to generate ideas for new business development. Provide hands-on execution support in running BD campaigns, creating marketing collaterals and attending client meetings

- Responsible for executing & delivering high quality financial research solutions to global clients and managing research teams. This includes understanding project specifications, overseeing deliverable preparation and extensive client engagement.

- Responsible for professional development, coaching and evaluation of their assigned team members.

- Firm-level responsibilities which can include, knowledge management, training, recruitment & selection, new product development, internal process development, expanding business capabilities and leading other organization improvement practices

Leverage past financial research experience to provide thought leadership across all FR assignments. Typical projects include:

- Developing complex financial models from scratch

- Providing analyst views supplemented with in-depth earnings forecasts and valuation estimates

- Writing well structured and crisp initiating coverage reports, sector reports and thematic reports

- Providing periodical updates and preparing earning reviews for companies under coverage

- Writing news flashes and calls (industry & company) explaining the quantitative and qualitative impact of industry developments

- Providing on-demand qualitative research support that involves company/industry profiling

Candidate profile

- Commerce Graduate/MBA (Finance)/CFA/CA

- 3+ years of experience in Quantitative (Equity, Investment) Research with at least 4 years in managing teams, leading projects and handling clients

- Strong quantitative aptitude and ability to draw inferences from a set of numbers/financials

- Workflow management skills- managing multiple projects & deliverables simultaneously, raising flags for judicious resource utilization, allocating and scheduling work streams

- Strong business acumen- should be able to correlate market drivers, challenges with impact on client or target companies, should be able to evaluate business risks etc.

- Passionate towards work with an ability to see opportunities to improve the firm and ensure successful implementation of suggestions

- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient in MS-Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
