Our client is seeking a finance professional capable of working in a fast paced environment and working with finance organization staffed in other geographies. The candidate should be experienced in cross functional finance projects /initiatives. The desired individual should have a proven track record of working cross functionally across all levels of the organization. Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP requirements, accounting processes and technical experience combined with strong interpersonal skills are required. The candidate should have experience to work with various key stakeholders to ensure proper resourcing and communication to them. This is an opportunity to directly report to Global CFO and to enable our global finance processes in India. Responsibilities :

- Work with cross functional teams to ensure compliance on Accounting, Payroll, Tax matters in accordance with local India statutory requirements and regulations.

- Complete the statutory filings/ audits for Our client India in conjunction with external providers / internal teams.Comply with Indian statutory compliance laws and acts, like Income Tax, Service Tax, VAT, Foreign Exchange Regulation, Contract Labour, Provident Fund, ESI, Gratuity, Shops and Establishment, Workmen Compensation etc.

- Provide policy guidance on accounting issues and their consistent application in practice.

- Partner with the GL team for monthly accounting close process which includes ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with the company's policies and US GAAP are delivered on-time to the Corporate Financial Reporting team.

- Develop annual budget and executive planning process;

- Active involvement in addressing complex financial reporting issues as they arise and providing input into the application of the technical accounting rules in accordance with India GAAP

- Maintain strong controls and processes in reporting accounting and financial data to the regulative government agencies and other regulatory bodies in India

Basic Qualifications:

- Academic Qualification - Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance preferred

- Good technical knowledge of IFRS, India GAAP and US GAAP.

- Minimum of 6 years of experience with global best practices in accounting and finance, including some experience with business process transformation.

- Subject matter experience with global best practices in finance and accounting business process multinationals operating in India and supporting centralized shared services

Preferred Qualifications:

- Consulting or audit background with large Accounting Firms will be a plus point

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to educate associates on published company policies

- Experience in IT industry or working with US multi-national corporations (MNC) is a plus

- Problem-solving skills and analysis, especially for troubleshooting systematic problems and addressing challenges

- Enthusiasm for business partnership, change management and a commitment achieving results Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes

- MS Office skills - Intermediate to advanced (Word, PPT & Excel)

- Knowledge of NetSuite and Tally or any ERP system advantageous

- Ambition, self-driven with a strong sense of responsibility

- Ability to organize & conduct focused discussions and direct others to punctual and specific results

- Almost obsessive attention to detail

- Ability to make independent decisions, self-starter, ability to perform with minimal Supervision

- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
