Manager - Finance Controller - CA - Telecom

Silverpeople is retained to hire a Finance controller to play a key role in one of the international consumer electronics companies, recently entering India. Our client, more than USD 5 Bn in revenue, is planning to quickly expand its operations in next few months. They want a Finance controller for India operations, will be primarily responsible for setting up and running the finance department.

Position: Finance controller / Manager

Qualifications:

- A qualified accountant e.g. Chartered Accountant of India

- 10+ years of experience, ideally as a financial controller in a technology firm

- Business and solutions orientated with a proven track record of managing change or establishing financial control systems

- Sound knowledge of direct / indirect taxes and labour law regulations

- Sound knowledge of cross border taxation

- Highly IT literate, SAP experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and control general accounting function, cash management, tax compliance, receivable and payable, treasury and payroll

- Planning: Provide strategic management to Xiaomi's India local and international operations, especially international transfer pricing issues

- MIS: Prepare, analyze and present monthly P&L, Balance sheet, MIS, and management reports to provide actionable inputs to the leadership team

- Reporting: Prepare standalone financial statements of the Indian entity as per Indian GAAP

- Audit: Primary responsibility for interacting with statutory/tax international auditors and ensuring smooth completion of audits

- Cash management: Track and report company's fund position on regular basis, preparing cash flow statements and analyzing actual against budgets

- Banking: Manage relationship with banks for various services

- Taxes: Ensure compliance with all Indian taxes- VAT, Service Tax, Excise, Customs etc.

- Monitor and develop internal controls and systems
