JOB DESCRIPTION:  Position Information  Title : Manager, Field Services (Vendor Management)  Department : Project Delivery  Location : Bengaluru, India	  Scope / Objective:  - The position of Manager, Field Services reports to Director of Project Delivery and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the company.   - The position will directly manage and supervise the data collection process for all quantitative and qualitative marketing research projects globally.   - A major focus of the role is building strong relationships with suppliers, improving our capabilities for field and reducing our out of pocket costs.  - This position requires outstanding client service, team management, dedication to company goals, and passion for quality.   Key Responsibilities:  Quantitative Research and Qualitative Research:   - Manage the day-to-day field operations required to implement projects within their unique research design specifications  - Develop and maintain relationships with on-line sample providers and data collection agencies  - Manage all field costs - obtain project bids from vendors, prepare realistic budgets for the research team, maintain project billing database and manage all outgoing costs to ensure optimal profit margins  - Oversee the workflow, quality control, and day to day operations of the Programming team   - Work closely with the Account team to develop sample plans, timelines, data collection methods and manage client expectations  - Monitor the data collection process with close scrutiny to sample management and quota control   - Monitor recruiting and troubleshoot any obstacles in the field  - Communicate regularly with vendors on project status and provide strategic guidance for successful project completion  - Manage back-end processes to close out surveys and ensure operational efficiency -including keeping records of project and sample performance to inform best practices for future studies  - Keep a record of vendor experience, as well as vendor strengths and weaknesses  - Reduce our costs by a minimum of 15%   Other Responsibilities:  - Keep informed of industry trends as related to research methodologies and research new vendors  Education / Experience/ Skills Requirement:  - Minimum 5 years of work experience in marketing research or a related field  - Degree in business (BS, MBA, MMR) in business management, or other applicable focus  - Strong interpersonal skills and proactive communication with multiple members of a team  - High level of numeracy   - Strong project management skills - including planning, budgeting, and the ability to balance and coordinate multiple tasks while delivering quality work on schedule  - Exceptional attention to detail with a "big picture" focus & the ability to anticipate potential issues in advance  - Ability to quickly absorb, retain and synthesize information   - Ability to follow standard operating procedures as well as implement operational improvements to increase process efficiency  - Team leader who can work lead by example and work independently to solve problems creatively and prioritize tasks  - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
