Manager - Economics & Regulatory Practice (8-12 yrs)
As a Manager you will be expected to have at least 8+ as an Economist and possess the following competencies:
- Preferably PhD in Economics or Masters in Economics from premiere university/institutes
- 6-8 years- direct work experience in economic and econometric modelling
- The desire to apply analytic and financial and/or economic skills to real life problems.
- Experience of regulatory and/or competition economics, strategy, business planning, costing and pricing.
- Experience of applying economic theory to the development and evaluation of public and regulatory policy.
- Experience of economic impact assessments.
- Be a team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Have project management skills
- Past experience of having worked on key large clients in both the private and public sector focusing on economics & regulatory field
- Ability to manage assignments in an independent and timely manner, and with attention to detail
- Advanced excel skills
- Familiarity with CGE modelling, and/or equivalent economic models, will be a definite added advantage
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead a team to undertake research, prepare reports and provide strategic advice to public and private sector clients on a broad range of economic policy issues and investment projects
- Provide advice and skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis using economic tools that include (but are not limited to): econometric modelling, cost benefit analysis (including triple bottom line assessment), economic impact assessments, Input-Output (I-O) analysis, CGE modelling and social return on investment indicators
- Lead the preparation and delivery of pitches and proposals to clients
- Work closely with the Engagement Partner in assignment planning, to include defining the scope of work, clearing any conflicts, budgeting and dealing with staff planning
- End to end project management and delivery of engagements
- Manage teams, plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms including written reports, presentations and discussions with the client.

- Account mapping & planning and identification of business opportunities
- Project budgeting, managing engagement profitability
- Engagement planning & resource utilization
- Developing & mentoring the team for solution delivery
