Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle  - Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments; Led the managers and engineering teams within an Agile/Scrum environment  - Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class global engineering teams  - Work closely with your managers, the engineers, and other engineering managers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach  - Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior management  - Develop and grow a highly skilled team of engineers  - Work effectively as a remote site leader who functions in harmony with our Seattle based organization   Required qualifications  - Bachelors, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.  - Established skill in leading and executing complex cross-functional projects, with simple and intuitive customer experiences.  - Strong technical credentials, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing software development teams, ideally with some hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience  - Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++) and open-source technologies (Spring, Hibernate)   - A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects  - A strong track record of hiring, developing, and growing software developers  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences  - A track record of effective communication with executives and non-technical leaders
