Manager - Country Tax Centre - CA - BPO (8-10 yrs)
World's Leading Shipping and Logistic Company with Shared Service Center in Mumbai, Pune and Chennai have a very strategic role in Finance and Taxation with following key responsibilities:
- To strengthen the review mechanism on various tax cases in the Company
- To build processes on identifying potential tax issues around business decisions taken in the Company
- To facilitate alignment with Central tax team in headquarters and smooth implementation of Global initiatives for the Company
- To ensure stronger practices to defend the Company tax position
Candidate Summary:
- Chartered Accountant with 8 to 10 years of specialization in Tax
- 5-6 years experience in dealing with cross border taxation, transfer pricing studies, independent exposure to handling tax assessments.
- 2-3 years experience in Tax practice with exposure in dealing with Tax cases upto Tribunal Level
- Sound knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP And Indian GAAP
Job Role:
- To review activities in all sites and ensure proper assessment of tax impact
- To ensure proper implementation of tax driven practices in the company including creation of SOPs.
- Effective and periodic assessment and clean-up of the tax issues
- Guiding in various tax filings and initiatives
- Handle direct and indirect taxation including transfer pricing, dealing with lawyers, consultants, and Center Tax team in CPH, filing service tax refunds etc.
- Handle Statutory and Tax audits, deal with Group Internal Audit, BCO teams, as appropriate on tax matters.
- Ensure proper internal controls within the tax accounting process
