Manager - Compensation & Benefits - FMCG/Manufacturing/Automotive (6-10 yrs)

Job Purpose :

Be part of the regional Compensation & Benefit team, primarily responsible for the Compensation & Benefit planning, development, communication and implementation of the Compensation & Benefits policies and programs for India. Engage effectively with HR Business Partners and other HR functions to evaluate, design and deploy compensation & benefits strategies that are in alignment with Corporate's philosophy and business requirements.

KPI (Key Performance Indicator) :

- Compliance with local legislative requirements

- Alignment with the company's Compensation & Benefits Philosophy

- Ensure market competitiveness and business affordability

- Effective and efficient implementation of C&B policies, programs and global initiatives in the country.

- Effective communication of C&B policies and processes with all stakeholders

- Drive consistency of C&B practices across all Business Units in the country where appropriate

Key Responsibilities :

Leads the development, implementation and communication of C&B related programs including compensation & benefit policies, procedures, practices, budget plan and programs by working in conjunction with Global Compensation & Benefit teams.

- Review existing C&B programs to ensure they are competitive and align with market practices;

- Identify gaps or issues in existing C&B practices for continuous improvement;

- Ensures compensation programs are in compliance with local, state and federal requirements

- Implement the global C&B initiatives in the country to ensure the consistency throughout the organization.

- Lead country-wide program such as Merit Review, Performance Incentive Plan, and Sales Incentive plan, social/ supplemental insurance plan etc.

- Manage the compensation & benefits survey process and conduct market intelligence study regarding market norms and practices. Analyze data result and propose recommendations for approval.

- Partner with local HR business partners to work with business management to provide sound recommendations and advice on Total Rewards based solutions ensure global consistency and local competitiveness in managing compensation & benefit programs.

- Partner with global C&B teams to work on global initiatives or C&B plan review.

- Provide consultative advice to local HR generalists and HR business partners in communicating and implementing C&B programs and policies to support the business growth.

- Participate and support assigned C&B projects for Asia Pacific.

Job related competencies :

- Strong knowledge in compensation and benefits concepts and mechanics

- Hands-on HR experience in setting up processes and policies for a medium to large MNC organization

- Strong drive for success. Able to work independently.

- Good project management skills in project delivery

- Strong analytical skill required to carry out various C&B data analysis

- Good influencing skills to get things done through other people

- Good communication skills in explaining concepts and policies

- Proactive, fast learner, flexible in thinking and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Fluent in both spoken and written English

- Minimum 8 years- experience in the field of HR management in MNC organization with solid experience on compensation & benefits management

- Solid exposure in project management on compensation & benefits programs

- In-depth knowledge of government regulations

- Experience of working in a matrix organization will be a plus
