Manager - Business Development & Sales - Mobile Internet Enhancement (5-7 yrs)

A young start up, New York area next generation Mobile Internet Enhancement pioneer that promises to transform the way people communicate, shop, work, play, and entertain, while empowering the realization and expansion of the Trillion Dollar potential of the Mobile Internet economy is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Mumbai.

Responsibilities Include :

Responsible for signings and revenues for clients products and services :

- Identify, validate, qualify and acquire new target accounts & opportunities across segments of Commerce, Media & Entertainment (M&E), Education, Gaming, Enterprise and Social Media

- Responsible for development and qualification of new and emerging business opportunities in selected Market Segments of OTT, Enterprises, Content and App providers

- Perform detailed evaluation of client business environment including customer needs, capabilities/assets, and competitive realities to identify unique business opportunities

- Define Go-to- Market strategies for sales and business development

- Execute a consultative sales approach, engaging in selected accounts to find and/or develop incremental product opportunity

- Develops C-Level relationships that build customer confidence regarding Clients capabilities, Create relationships through networking, referrals, and proactive business development with target buyers

- Become a trusted advisor for our clients on value-added solutions, consulting offerings, and additional products and services Create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, influencers, and buyers to position Client's value proposition

- Work with Clients product management and Solution architecture teams for defining product roadmaps, market requirements definition, assessing market potential, prioritising segments

- Work with Operator sales teams to help joint solutioning,

- Enable collaborative meetings between OTT/content/enterprise and network operators,

- Evolve business models for joint marketing and sales

- Participate in sales and marketing related efforts including webinars, in-person presentations, speaking engagements, seminars, and conferences

- Conduct primary market and customer research, and perform in-depth customer reviews to understand their business challenges, system requirements, and benefits achieved from utilizing client's solutions

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media, social networking, and the Internet

- Understanding of mobile network providers, app ecosystem, cloud, enterprise mobility, social and analytics functions

- Understanding of pricing mechanisms, ability to discover the right pricing and commercial model in the market

- Understanding of mobile network enabled premium services in the content ecosystem

- Collaborative team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly

- Proven ability to generate leads and convert them into long-term partners

- Self-starter, true sales - hunter-, and extremely proactive with a strong work ethic

- Strategic and creative thinker

- Exceptional at networking, securing referrals, and initiating and building relationships

- Willingness to take initiative, and the sheer ability to hustle and get things done

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking, tight deadlines environment

Ability to scale within and outside client organizations

- Ability to thrive in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment

- Willingness to travel

Key Behavioral Traits :

Education & Background :

- Engineer plus MBA with 5-7 years- experience

- Functional areas - Internet Technologies, Mobile/VAS, ecommerce, Media and Entertainment, internet subscription based services

- Or Enterprise applications
