Manager/Senior Manager - Business Development - Events Management (4-7 yrs)

Working with : Founder / Partner

Location : Mumbai

About the ideal person :

-You would have worked as a client servicing or business development professional at a mid-large events agency.

-You would have handled events and activations requirements of large clients.

-You would know how to build and leverage relationships with client organisations.

-And, you would know the meaning of the word, Hustle.

More than that, you are someone who believes life has larger plans for you and you need someone, something, an opportunity, a platform to launch yourself. While you work with us to give wings to our ideas, the team will work with you to create for you what you wish to!

Experience and Skill Expectation

- No restriction on education background

- 4+ years of experience with events agencies in the Client Servicing / Business Development role. There is no upper limit to experience levels. If you have spent way more than 3 years in the business, all the more reason you talk to us!

- Must have interacted with large clients in industries that have a large channel structure. For example: automobiles, ancillaries, white goods (consumer durables), FMCG, entertainment etc.

- Needless to say, great communication skills

- Problem solver, rather than a paper-pusher

Roles and Responsibilities

- Drive Business Development function

- Recruit, train, mentor the BD team

- Create a process for the BD function so as to have a predictable business pipeline

- Open conversations, pitch and close on business with prospective clients

- There will be tough revenue targets, measured quarterly

- Of course the entire team will back you up on this

Compensation :

- At par with industry. Not more, not less. There WILL be generous and meaningful commission-based remuneration and stock options

- A part of compensation will have to be earned via commission on sales (from new business or expanding the existing business)

- Stock options from the employee pool (you will have to earn this over time. You get eligible once you- ve spent 12 mo with us)

- There WILL be revenue targets.

- While we love the concept of process (vs proceeds), we will evaluate you on the basis of performance.
