Manager BOP - Engineering - Steam Turbine Manufacturing

The selected candidate will be Head of BOP Engineering Section in STG Package. He shall lead the BOP-Mechanical, BOP-Electrical and BOP-Control& Instrumentation Groups

- 8-10 Years in BOP-Engineering of a Steam Turbine manufacturing company or POP Engineering Consultancy Groups.

- He should have lead a team for a minimum period of 3 years.

He should have thorough knowledge and hands on experience of the following BOP Equipment engineering:

- Sizing of oil System, condensing system, steam system etc.

- TG Set foundation load calculations, Piping layouts, valve schedules

- Generator and Automatic Voltage Regulator

- Generator protection schemes using digital Multi-functional relay

- Steam Turbine instrumentation like Pressure, Temperature and Flow instruments

- Governing system

- Vibration monitoring system

- Setting of targets for project wise BOP Engineering activities and review the progress.

- Mentor and manage the team by defining their roles, responsibilities and monitor their performance. Encourage new ideas and innovations

- Establish Procedures and Processes by focusing on documentation, standardization, cost reduction and value engineering

- Analysis of performance of BOP Equipment at site and taking action for improvements.

- Should have thorough understanding of PLC s and DCS.

- Familiarity to various International Standards is important

- Experience of handling Overseas Customers is important.Knowledge of Automation, control systems shall be of added advantage.

- Hands on experience of Commissioning of STG, Trouble shooting shall be of added advantage.

- Should have exposure to ISO 9001 and TQM.

Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering,MBA
