- We are looking for an individual in The Reporting product delivery team is responsible for helping strategize smart reporting solutions that maximize return on equity across clearing, collateral management, prime brokerage, custody and fund services

- It partners with the businesses, technology, UX, data scientists and product development teams to validate and socialize the client reporting product strategy across different IS businesses. It also plays the role of a business analyst and helps business and senior management take educated decisions regarding technology investments.

- The BA Associate will be involved in understanding the reporting eco system, collecting, analyzing and interpreting various metrics to identify productivity gains or cost saving opportunities.

- He would be responsible for assisting senior members of the team in analysis related to reporting and otherwise. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with data analysis and data crunching, presenting the analysis in a power point to senior management and ability to work with different teams in a constantly changing environment.

This role provides the unique and exciting opportunity to gain exposure to the business of investor services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Research and analyze IS reporting suite, client usage patterns and cost of technology to support it.

- Work on projects and partner with UX, technology, product development and client service to design and build the best in class self service reporting tools to optimize infrastructure and operations cost.

- Suggest areas and opportunities for cost optimization, maximizing return on equity and back it up with data.

- Liaison between SMEs, product owners, business, IT infrastructure teams to facilitate the processes of retrieving, analyzing data and conduct cost/benefit analysis.

- Collect relevant and timely competitive intelligence information through a range of sources internal and external to the company (primary and secondary source collection) for specific business needs. The Analyst will lead hypothesis-based competitive research from initial scoping through design, data gathering, data analysis and presentation.

Key Skills :

- Highly analytical and can implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data.

- Advanced knowledge of Excel (macros, pivot tables, v-lookup) and SQL.

- Must have prior experience in leading client facing technology business analysis and/or project management.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills - regular conversations will be required with BI analysts, product owners, technology teams.

Desired Skills :

- Prior working experience as business analyst in the banking industry.

- Strong technical aptitude and/or Engineering degree.

- Understanding of research process (scoping, methodology, design, analysis, presentation)

- Consultative skills (communications, scoping, project management).

- Ability to adapt communication style to the level of audience.

- Understand and passionate about data, analytics and reporting.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes :

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

- Strong work ethic, curious and passionate to learn and a self-starter and a quick learner with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation

- Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent problem solving skills - as well as written and verbal communication

- Ability to work with tight deadlines

- Organization skills, be able to prioritize task base on priority level

Experience Required :

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in medium to large organizations, preferably in the financial services industry.
