A leading FMCG company is looking out for Analytics Manager - FMCG  Purpose of the Role:  The role holder would be responsible for delivering Descriptive & Predictive analytics projects as per user requirement and drive its effective usage. He should be also able to benchmark existing analytics practices in Market and recommend initiatives which can be taken up within organization  Qualification & Experience:  - BE + Masters in Business Administration  - Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in handling projects and familiarity with business processes in FMCG space   - Experience in quantitative sciences is must have, such as: economics, statistics, six sigma, industrial engineering, management of information systems, or a related discipline  - Sales & Marketing process knowledge is desired  - Ability to handle Project Management, lead teams and understand databases and IT data sources  Key Deliverables of the Role:  - The first deliverable of this role holder is to anchor IT and analytics projects which harness the use of data and multiple databases in order to help generate meaningful insights for business results.  - Frequent interaction with business to understand the impact of such data and analytics and drive its effective utilization.  - Towards this Manager will need to :  - Analyse and document the requirements - Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs and develops the Business   Requirement Documents based on the organization standards   - Communicate Requirements - Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with the business area experts and the technical team through artefacts like Business Requirements Document, Implementation requirement Document, Use cases, Wire-frames, Data model etc.   - Identify Solution - Work closely with the required teams to make a recommendation for a solution   - Verify that the Solution meets the Requirements - The BA reviews the solution for usability issues and assures that the requirements are being satisfied and through suitable User acceptance Testing.   - International travelling will be required as part of the role  Functional Competencies:  - Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset  - Comfort with handling and processing large datasets and understanding datasets and MIS / ERP / ETL / SQL systems   - Ability to learn new software packages & tools quickly and without formal training  - Expert Knowledge of MS Excel / Power Pivot / Macros / Excel Dashboards etc  - Basic knowledge of the statistical software like SPSS, Matlab, Minitab or SAS will be nice to have   - Ability to benchmark existing analytics practices with Market and recommend initiatives which can be taken up within organization  Managerial Competencies:  - Sound business acumen & consulting capability  - Effective communication - verbal and written  - Good understanding of sales, customer, & financial analyses with some specialist knowledge  - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic  - Creative mind with excellent problem-solving skills  - Ease in working both independently and interdependently within a team  - Ability to drive change management along with business functions & conduct trainings whenever required.  Reporting Relationships:  Upwards: Head - Business Technology and Analytics  Downwards: Team of internal developers / consultants   Other Key Functional Interfaces:  Different functions within the organization and external vendors or consultants.  Growth Path & Future:  The role holder can look at movement within IT and Analytics domain as well as Business Process Transformation roles in the organization.
