Manager, Advocacy and Communications   The organisation seeks to hire a Manager for its Advocacy and Communications function. The selected candidate gets a unique opportunity to shape this function strategically by understanding our audience, defining pointed, key messages and employing appropriate channels to disseminate these messages. While ensuring good coverage across traditional and new media is necessary, strategic thinking about advocacy, communication and their linkage is of utmost importance.   An ideal candidate for this role would possess the following skills:   - Strategic thinking   - Persuasive communication, with the ability to convince people   - Exceptional writing skills   - Effective management of diverse teams   - Meaningful analysis, interpretation and communication of data (Data to Voice)   Just as importantly, such a candidate would have the following attributes:   - Creativity   - Ability to multi-task   - Comfort with ambiguity, diverse teams and a fast-changing environment   - Curiosity   - Geniality   - Adaptability and flexibility   - Passion - eagerness to take the initiative and be a self-starter   - Willingness to travel extensively to the field (Rural Rajasthan, currently)   - A good sense of humor wouldnt hurt!   The above skills and attributes ought to be backed up by rich experience, as summarized below:   - 10 years or more in the communications sphere   - Deep, proven expertise in at least one of the following: media management, social / new media, advocacy, writing with familiarity across the board   - Startup experience would be a valuable addition   - A master's degree from a leading university   Note: Candidates are encouraged to share portfolios / other artefacts that speak for their work.
