Manager - Actuarial Analyst - Property & Casualty Insurance Domain

Person Specifications :

Education Essential : Graduation in any stream. Should be a member of the Actuarial profession (enrolled to complete actuarial studies at least)

Desirable : Masters/BE/B Tech

Work Qualifications Essential : Should have successfully cleared 5 to 10 actuarial papers

Experience Essential : 5-7 years of relevant experience in the areas on P&C actuarial valuation/pricing.Should have some prior people management experience.

Knowledge Essential :

- Knowledge of insurance domain

- Ensure the quality of project delivery of all analytics actuarial work released to stakeholders

- Manage day to day work flow to ensure timeliness of all deliveries to clients

- Lead and manage all projects in analytics actuarial space. Ensure all project scope, objective, quality, timelines are adhered to

- Bring operational improvements within the process/work(relevant)in India for better delivery/services to the client and create larger efficiency in the business as a whole

- Play a leadership role in challenging the team to question the existing process and come up with Value added insights and solutions for continuous improvement

- Create an environment of continuous learning by sharing and providing opportunities for knowledge sharing for all team members

- Manage, mentor and develop competencies of the team by identifying skill and competency gaps and planning for current & future developments

- Mentor and develop team members for challenging projects and goals in the future to be able to create readiness for future business growth

- Estimation of IBNRs using standard actuarial methods or other statistically robust techniques.

- Ability to develop new and maintain existing tools either independently (Excel and VBA based) or as supervised by reporting manager

- Ability to consolidation and Communication of results

- Carry out all other reasonable requests and objectives to an acceptable standard within agreed timescales

- Prepare reports and letters relating to actuarial advice
