Job description-

a) Strong understanding of India labour compliances, especially Haryana, Karnataka & Mumbai.

b) Strong understanding of India regulatory compliances, especially finance and tax.

c) Strong interest/ exposure in ROW (rest-of-the-world) labour and other compliances (for e.g., anti bribery, export control laws).

d) Coordination with legal team for finalizing new countries compliance checklist(s).

e) Coordination with legal team for closure of non-compliances identified in exception report for internal audit, board meeting and other financial reportings.

f) Managing compliance vendor(s) & implementation of agreed compliances checklist(s) across the globe.

g) Working with available tools, and managing/ follow-up/ co-ordinating the uploading of evidences on the compliance tool across functions.

h) Coordination with respective stakeholders (HR/ Admin/ Finance) for implementation of agreed compliances

i) Implementation of new compliances introduced by governments

j) Handle internal & external compliance audit

k) Vendor compliance management

l) Regular reporting to the Board / internal audit / external auditors.

m) Preparation and regular review of :

a. Policies (for e.g., compliance policy, leave policies, code of conduct, etc),

b. Processes (for e.g., compliance processes),

c. Documents (for e.g., employment contracts) and

d. Tools for regulatory compliances

e. Advisory (for e.g., opinion on termination policy for a particular country)

n) Assist with contractual compliances

Qualifications-

a) Law Graduate/ Post graduate

b) Any specialized course in compliances or law will be preferred

Skills

a) Work experience in handling labour compliance for companies having offices at multiple locations within India (for e.g., Haryana, Karnataka & Maharashtra)

b) Experience & knowledge of labour compliance for other territories, especially Africa, will be an added advantage.

c) Experience in use of tools to manage compliances

5-7 years total work experience and minimum 3 years experience in labour/ other compliances independently
