Role : Operational Cost Controller - Senior (P3 - Associate Finance Controller)

Job description :

The Senior Operational Cost Controlling Specialist supports the Control processes and production of high quality financial data and reporting. The role requires previous work experience in Finance controlling. The candidate should possess good knowledge of the functional area and understand the overall nature of the business. The role will have to liaise with multiple stakeholders, requiring a proactive attitude

Key Accountabilities :

- Daily financial management

- Prepare and analyze budgets as well as update forecasts

- Periodical control of time registration and travel costs

- Periodical control of invoices (validation and sign-off)

- Reconcile project balance and root-cause investigation (Purchase Orders, invoices, time registration, travel costs)

- Identify and follow-up on project changes with close interactions with project managers and other stakeholders (e.g. accounting team, local finance teams)

- Improve and optimize cost control procedures

- Carry out profitability analyzes

- Ensure a sound control environment

Skills required to do the job :

- Excellent grasp on the financial dynamics and are able to communicate these to non-financial people

- Solid financial educational background as Chartered Accountant or ICWA and good understanding of control framework.

- 5+ years of Experience in cost controlling

- Have strong data analysis and reporting skills

- Have strong IT skills (ERP, reporting tools)

- SQL experience required; BI experience preferable

- Able to organize structured communication and to prioritize/manage expectations and interfaces with different stakeholders

- Proactive and have a can-do attitude

- Thrive working in a technical environment

- Self-confident and able to work under high pressure

- Strongly committed to meeting deadlines

- Self-disciplined person, who pays close personal attention to detail.
