Job Description :

- Support PEX manager and coaches in conducting Kaizen belt training and post training coaching

- Support the PEX transformation partner on piloting concepts, creating standards and practices

- Mentors GB/BB for certification & conducts Kaizen Belt training and post training coaching for certification

- Acts as a coach to the Team leaders on the floor

- Conduct employee training to instill PEX practices at the front line

- Carry out PEX engagement initiatives like center wide Kaizen program

- Manages PEX communication and connects through Promos, Newsletter, PEX Grand prix, PEX day etc Support the GSC in building and sustaining PEX competencies required in the business process through training, coaching and certifications

- Mentors cross function site projects on case to case basis.

- Acts as a role model and coach regarding the use of PEX tools, methodology and application in the process

- Drive Green belt and Black belt (GB/BB) projects using Six Sigma, Lean and Process excellence (PEX) tools and methodologies, and sustainably improve business and process performance through these.

The candidate is responsible for :

- Leading assigned Green belt and Black belt (GB/BB) projects in cooperation with the local PEX Manager using the Maersk Improvement Model tools and methodologies, including:

- Facilitate improvement workshops and seminars as required - liaise and coordinate closely with a relevant business manager on project completion, results and anchoring of improvement results in the business

- Bring together key stakeholders and arrive at a decision

- Able to clearly prioritize issues

- Able to communicate the changes and defend the need

- Manage change by understanding cultural dynamics in the organization

- Challenge status-quo and move towards the ideal state

- Manages and leads assigned project participants

- Assist the local PEX Manager in rolling-out and imbibing the PEX tools and methodologies

- Acts as a role model and coach regarding PEX tools, methodology and application

Technical Skills :

- Exceptional understanding of the Lean/Six Sigma toolbox (Maersk Improvement Model)

- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact and pilot the stated processes and frameworks

- Ability to coach and develop Team leaders and staff

- Ability to influence without authority

- Strong facilitation and coaching

- Ability to listen, observe and critically evaluate all parts of what (s)he does

- Ability to deal with various people and to build professional relationships. Being diplomatic in approach, understanding the attitudes, interests, needs and perspectives of others; ability to listen to others viewpoint. Ability to get things done from others in a friendly but firm manner.

- Ability to articulate and put forth ones viewpoint and understand others messages effectively and clearly. This may involve: verbal, non-verbal, written and/or electronic messages.

Process Orientation :

- The ability to provide a structured approach / plan which can be replicated independent of individuals and the results can be achieved consistently.

Result Orientation :

- Ability to pursue everything with energy & need to finish. Self starting & proactive than reactive steadfastly pushes self & others for successfully achieving if not exceeding targets. Utilizes the given facts effectively, thinks beyond the obvious, does a cost benefit analysis & comes up with the final result.
