Maersk Line - Pricing Specialist/Special Cargo Expert - Special Cargo/BreakBulk Projects (6-10 yrs)

As a Special Cargo Expert, you will be responsible to assist develop strategy for high revenue Break Bulk / complex out of gauge cargo exported across multiple trade lanes from region WCA. The role requires close coordination & develop relationships with global terminals / operations / 3rd party vendors /Stowage planner /Sales / Customers.

This role reports to the Special Cargo (SPC) Trade Manager for West and Central Asia.

Key Responsibilities -

Operational

- Streamling existing process / approach to Breakbulk (BBK) Quotation process and booking (including re-building existing port- and contact- database)

- Arranging pricing and quotation for BBK

- Analysis and optimizing additional cost factor including port terminal charges, 3rd party vendor costs and respective capabilities

- Support slot planner in stowage optimization

- Establish quote turn time SOPs and support SPC cost optimization drive in collaboration with procurement

- Review Quote / Booking SOP and focus on process improvement

- Own and improve BBK vessel sharing agreement (VSA) approval process

- Commercial

- E-2-E service expansion / run proof of concepts for SPC

- Support sales / SPCTNM in developing strategic accounts and commodities - i.e. pave the way for SPC BDV managers

- Drive proactively the SPC organizational knowledge transfer sessions

- Attend customer meetings to map market and customer pain point/s to analyse gaps for improvement and develop customer relationships

- Identify new commercial opportunities

- Close cooperation with regional office, Sales and Customer Service

- Commercial mindset and ability to develop the market together with SPC TNM team

- Good quantitative analytical skills

- Ability to be creative and think out-of-the-box

- Ability to communicate clearly and set focus/direction

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.

- Good stakeholder management
