At Maersk Line we offer the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team which works to identify and develop large Indian conglomerates from the Emerging Stars segment into global key clients for Maersk Line. This involves consultative selling , business development and account management.  Key Responsibilities:  - Scoping and development of new business opportunities within the region and bring the new accounts within Maersk Line fold.  - Establish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with the account (including main decision makers, influencers, opinion leaders) and take full ownership of the account.  - Manage internal cross functional stakeholders to ensure high levels of service standards are consistently met across Maersk Line in India and Sri Lanka.  - Design, follow and apply structured methodology and approach towards business development  - Understand the customers’ business, map existing supply chain and identify opportunities for optimization which Maersk Line could partner on resulting in clear cost saving and topline impact for customer  - Partner in content development for product and value proposition alongwith the Marketing team.  - To act as the top-level contact for clients and engage the organization as needed to deliver products sold to the client  - Leverage understanding of local business environment to support the development of sales and marketing strategy.  Who we are looking for:   Preferably a management graduate with over 5 years of experience in institutional sales or key account management or conceptual selling with the following skills:  - Strong aptitude towards business development  - Strong analytical and presentation skills  - Ability to successfully manage negotiation and tender process  - Ability to manage complex & senior level negotiations  - Self-motivation  - Ability to transition between strategic and tactical management with ease  - Understanding of customer’s needs, drivers, buying criteria, and the industry the customer operates in as a whole, appreciating how they view the shipping process.  - Ability to re-engineer, influence and change buying vision  Experience of Sales within the transport industry would be an advantage. Prior experience of consultative selling is also an added advantage
