Business Title : Associate Finance Controller 1(JL3)

Department or Business Unit : Maersk Global Service Centres

Reports To (list day to day Manager) : Manager - FNA Manager

Purpose/Summary :

What is the employee accountable for - Why is this role/position important in terms of impact, Keep in mind the scale of responsibilities such as no. of staff, no. /size of accounts, territory, services, premises etc. for whom the incumbent is responsible.

- To perform the operations for Reporting and Control in Finance and Accounting (F&A) activities in the Global Shared Service Centers

- To act as Single point of Contact & 1st level escalation point for any process related matters

Key Responsibilities :

Financial and Management Reporting :

- Ensure entity / BU HFM reporting is accurate and in line with appropriate standards (review controller books, perform monthly controlling checks).

- Assist entities with reporting queries.

- Review monthly controller checklist for assigned entities/ BU's.

- Controlling for assigned countries (ensure all entities have reported and that mismatches are understood and documented).

- Balance sheet analysis (review and consolidation of BU submissions).

- Provide input to monthly management report (consolidate input from BU- s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis).

- Provide input to quarterly performance review (consolidate input from BU- s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis).

- Adhoc tasks and analysis

- Promote the principles of good accounting practices, and ensure compliance with documented internal controls.

Skills and Job Knowledge :

- Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of core reporting and accounting experience.

- Knowledge of accounting policies, including international accounting standards

- Knowledge of Management Accounting

- Prior financial accounting (GL) & reporting experience of one year

- Knowledge of HFM would be an added advantage

- Analytical & Problem Solving ability for trouble shooting

- Excellent communication skills (English) - Fluent Oral & Written

- Flexible to work in any shift, i.e. morning, afternoon or night.

Technical Skills :

- Computer literate (Windows) & Strong MS Excel skills (v-lookup, Pivots, Complex formulae) and MS PowerPoint

- Analytical & Problem Solving ability for trouble shooting

- Prior experience in SAP / ERP systems
