- To independently review balance sheet reconciliations of all entities globally, validate that they are compliant with guidelines, quantify financial exposures there-in and prepare reports to senior Finance Management based on the reviews.   - Have an in-depth understanding of internal guidelines on financial control procedures, particularly related to balance sheet reconciliations, standard templates and processes for reconciliations.   - Be independent and thorough in reviewing entity balance sheets and informing Head of Business Control and regional CFO's on any potential financial exposures or irregular transactions appearing in the accounts.   - Liaise closely with prepares of the B/S reconciliations (usually also based in Chennai) and reviewers (based throughout the world) to ensure a fact based assessment is made during the reviews.   - Perform the B/S reconciliation reviews completely, effectively and efficiently and report conclusions in a clear and concise manner to Senior Finance Management  Who we are looking for:  Certified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)   - Conversant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)  - 10 years relevant experience. For example in a role involving review/reconciliation of balance sheet accounts   - Advance knowledge and experience with MS Excel, and MS Word   - Fluent and clear in English, both spoken and written, is essential   - Internal or external audit experience is preferred   - Working knowledge of SAP/HFM would be an advantage   - Experience in the freight forwarding/supply chain management industries would also be an advantage   - Analytical, quantitative and structured, with the ability to quantify and present financial exposures   - Good communicator, diplomatic, able to easily connect at all levels and be perceived as credible, knowledgeable and trustworthy   - Hands on self-starter with service mentality, patient and persistent; strives for continuous improvement and excellence   - A high level of self-confidence, integrity, credibility and drive; combined with the ability to meet deadlines through prioritizing and organizing activities   Only shortlisted candidates will be informed owing to business pressures.
