Responsibilities :

- This position will be responsible for leading and growing a team of analytics professionals

- Hands on independent algorithm and model validation work is a key part of the role

- Oversee algorithm inventory and classification

- Effectively challenging the developers of algorithms on conceptual soundness and outcome analysis of ML algorithms

- Tracking validation findings and resolution to the findings

- Communicating the validation results to partners, senior leadership and in committees

- Documenting detailed model/algorithm validation report

- Provide technical leadership to team members on relevant topics

- Generate IP for AXP through patent-worthy innovation and research

- Liaise With Business Partners to understand the intended uses for the algorithms both as a part of models as well as strategy

- Talent management for the team, including attracting and retaining world-class scientists and engineers.

This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.

Qualification :

- Ph.D. In Computer Science / Eco / Related Field with 5+ Years Of Relevant Experience Or M.S. With 8+ Years Of Experience

- Experience and Background In One Or More Of The Following Areas: Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Large Scale Analytics, Distributed Computing, Algorithms, and Pattern Mining

- Expertise in at least one object oriented programming language - Java, Python, C++ (2-3 yrs of exp)

- Expertise in statistical/econometric modeling a big plus

- Demonstrated Expertise Through Prior External Publications In Top-Tier Conferences Will Be A Big Plus. Likewise, Past Experience In A Research Lab Is Desirable, But Not Mandatory

- Experience On Hadoop And Other Large Scale Distributed Computing Platforms Is Desirable but not mandatory

- Prior experience of hands on execution of projects from conception to end in relevant areas.

- Must Be Highly Motivated And Energetic, With Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
