Lowes - Director - Operations - Facilities/Safety & Security/Real Estate (12-25 yrs)

Job Summary :

The Director, Operations will be responsible for four primary portfolios for Lowe's Services India Private Limited's expansion into Bangalore: Real Estate & Facilities, Sourcing and Procurement; Operations / Admin; and Corporate Security and Safety.

This leader will manage teams responsible for establishing all appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the seamless operation of Lowe's Bangalore facilities and the safety of its employees and assets.

This leader will collaborate closely with multiple leaders in Lowe's Companies US corporate headquarters and Lowe's corporate facilities in Bangalore and serve as a key member of the Bangalore leadership team.

Real Estate & Facility Management :

- Responsible for management, operations and maintenance of Lowe's corporate office facilities and related support systems. Develops financial plans, contract project requirements and defines and manages service contract work for critical power, environmental and fire protection systems.

- The Director will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, implementation and management of space planning, facility utilization and program management within Lowe's campuses.

- Responsible for delivering and maintaining consistent, quality service delivery, including services provided by third party contractors, while ensuring that Lowe's maximizes the use of its corporate facilities. This position will be responsible for space planning; office furniture procurement, inventory and installation; and workplace design.

Sourcing & Procurement :

- Responsible for leading a team of sourcing & procurement specialists who conduct general market research into potential suppliers, product specifications and resources.

- Responsible for conducting supplier analysis, evaluating potential suppliers, managing the overall supplier qualification process, creating sourcing plans, generating requests for proposal, and evaluating and recommending purchasing and sourcing decisions.

- This team will negotiate and manage vendor agreements in partnership with the business and legal.

Operations / Admin :

- Responsible for managing the coporate services provided by Lowe's Banaglore: employee transportation program; cafeteria and food services; housekeeping, employee travel, corporate event management; international visitors; administration of employee relocations, reception / front desk managment, office supply and stationary procurement; etc.

Corporate Security & Safety :

- Responsible for developing and administering the corporate security and safety policies for Lowe's Bangalore facilities, workplace - extensions-, corporate special events, and expat programs in alignment with Lowe's US policies and all regulatory and legal requirements.

- Supervises the Corporate Security Manager and is responsible for business continuity plans (BCPs); disaster planning; and Fire Evacuation / Emergency Situation planning. Maintains a strong working relationship with the local Fire/Police/EMS agencies.

- Provides guidance and leadership to Facilities and Admin Manager and team, Corporate Security Manager, and Sourcing and Procurement Specialists

- Allocates the work among the resources based on prioritization of activities and anticipates and guides the team through obstacles to accomplish work

- Develops objectives and goals for all direct reports. Develops and coaches resources and conducts performance reviews
